Your first appointment
1.5 hours - Please stipulate if it is your first appointment and allow for this time.
Treatment length aims to be 1 hour on your first appointment.
Your first appointment I will take you through an initial no-fee consultation (client assessment) where
I shall ask you about your lifestyle i.e. your job(s), sports and activities, eating and drinking habits,
hobbies, medical history and any existing medical conditions and injuries. This information is used to
determine the most appropriate form of massage treatment(s) for you. Please be assured that this information
will remain private and confidential at all times.
The client assessment uses advanced case taking techniques, evaluating the needs of clients and
documenting the results. This will enable me to select and incorporate appropriate treatment strategies
for the individual needs of each client.
I will use my knowledge and skills to conduct a gait and postural assessment of presenting clients.
The objective is to determine the extent and origin of any apparent soft tissue dysfunction. This is
vital for the selection of appropriate remedial massage treatment strategies and to identify scenarios
requiring referral.
